FREE CompuSec encrypts the entire hard disk of the machine, including the operating system and other system files. A pre-boot access control is enforced, so as to prevent any unauthorized access. Only with the correct username and password, can the operating system on the machine be booted. This program security suite also provides other program components such as Identity Management, Encryption of Server Files & Subdirectories ? SafeLan, Encryption of individual Files – DataCrypt, Encryption of diskettes, CD/DVD and removable media – CDCrypt, Encryption of Voice Communication ? [ClosedTalk] and Container Encryption – [DriveCrypt] using powerful AES algorithm 256 bit key a easy way to store sensitive data securely without the need to encrypt entire hard disk. The encryption is performed transparently, and the user is not required to make extraneous steps to encrypt files.
FREE CompuSec can be easily managed in an enterprise using the GlobalAdmin central
management station from CE-Infosys. When centrally managed, the administrator has full control over the functions of FREE CompuSec, and can easily set policies for the users of the software. Other versions feature the use of e-Identity (a smart card or USB token) or Biometric fingerprint scanner that will complement your password and store your digital certificates and provide powerful two to three factor authentication and access control.
