Toshiba Releases Satellite R800 Laptop Series

Toshiba has announced the availability of the Satellite R800 series consumer notebooks, which consists of the 13.3-inch R830, 14-inch R840, and 15.6-inch R850. These laptops feature Intel’s latest full-performance CPUs, USB 3.0, HDMI, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and a built-in optical drive. The Toshiba R830 has a magnesium alloy casing, while the R840 and R850 come with a new High Stiffness Resin casing. Both Toshiba R830 and R840 also provide up to 8GB RAM, up to 640GB hard drive space, a built-in webcam, 1,366 x 768 LED-backlight displays, and a battery life of up to 8-hour. The new Toshiba Satellite R800 laptop series will be available during the second quarter 2011 in Europe, Middle East and Africa. [Toshiba]
