Natwest net and phone banking goes titsup
Brief Natwest’s online, mobile and telephone banking services are having an unscheduled rest today, Saturday, November 5.
At time of writing customers who try to log-in to their accounts are greeted with the following message:
We’re sorry our Digital, Mobile and Telephone Banking services are currently unavailable. We’re working hard to get them back up and running as soon as possible.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
According to Reg readers, the service was unavailable at 7am.
And this Twitterer claims that Natwest scheduled maintenance for on-line banking between 1am and 3am this morning.
We’ll update the story as and when we find out more about the outage. And readers, do let us know when service is restored.
On Friday, November 4 HSBC’s on-line and ATM services went titsup in the UK for a couple of hours. The bank blamed a server fault for the outage.
The Royal Bank of Scotland’s net, mobile and telephone banking services are also down at time of writing. The bank has published the same outage message as its subsidiary, Natwest, on its website. ®
