Police arrested Harry Furey, 48, of Villanova for harassment and easy assault Nov. 19 at 6:57 p.m.

According to police, Furey and his wife were arguing when he grabbed her by her neck and started to choke her.

DUI, endangering the welfare of a child

Police arrested Linda Davidson, 46, of Bryn Mawr after a traffic stop in Bryn Mawr Nov. 17 at 5:46 p.m.

Police were called to the New Gulph Children’s Center on Conestoga Road in Villanova on the report that an intoxicated woman was there.

Witnesses told police that Davidson entered the parking lot of the center through the exit, hit a light post and almost crashed against another car.

Davidson then got out the automobile with her 6-year-old daughter. The school’s staff escorted Davidson’s 4- and 6-year-old kids to another room and contacted the children’s father.

Worthless checks

Nov. 17 at 9:21 a.m. police got a report that someone used a check from a closed bank account to purchase $268 worth of meat from a vendor at the Farmers Market, 389 W. Lancaster Ave. in Wayne.

Criminal mischief to vehicles Continued…

Police got a report that someone smashed a window of a automobile parked near Welsh Hall at Villanova University Nov. 17 at 4:20 p.m.Police got a report that someone scratched a automobile that was parked in a lot on Windermere Avenue in Wayne Nov. 16 at 4:56 p.m.

Theft

Police got a report of a theft of a watch and a digital camera from a room where a mattress had been delivered on Upland Way in Wayne. The mattress was delivered Nov. 5 and the theft was reported to police Nov. 16.

Office burglary

Police got a report that someone burglarized an office on the 100 block of Matsonford Road in Radnor between Nov. 14 at 11:30 p.m. and Nov. 15 at 8 a.m.

Police stated many electronic devices were taken from the office.

While investigating the first burglary, police said, another office in the same building was also burglarized. A plasma TV, a digital projector, two laptops and other electronics were taken.

License-plate theft

Police got a report that someone ripped the registration plate from a automobile parked near Farrell Hall at Villanova University Nov. 15 at 2:07 p.m.

They stated the plate was found nearby and the car’s bumper was damaged.

Noise violation

Police cited James Carney, 21, of Garden City, N.Y., for a noise violation after they were contacted about a fight taking place with a crowd of college-aged people making noise on Brook Street in Bryn Mawr Nov. 16 at 1:55 a.m.

Police stated officers were told there was no fight. Instead, Carney told police a guest at his apartment was refusing to get into a cab to go back to Villanova.

Theft

Police got a report that someone stole a laptop computer from a person at Good Counsel Hall at Villanova University when he went to the restroom Nov. 10.

Assault

Police have charged a 13-year-old boy from Rosemont with assault and harassment after his 85-year-old grandmother reported that he kicked her in the leg, causing a laceration, after the two had a verbal argument Nov. 22.

Fraud

Police got a report Nov. 24 of someone making unauthorized buys on a Wayne resident’s TD bank card. The victim also told police someone set up an account through Yahoo without his knowledge.

Possession of marijuana

A 17-year-old boy from Malvern was taken into custody for possession of a small amount of marijuana after making contact with police on Valley Forge Road near Swedesford Road in Devon Nov. 16 at 1:25 p.m.

A 17-year-old boy from Berwyn was charged with possession of marijuana after a baggie of it was confiscated at his high school Nov. 19 at 2:22 p.m.

Criminal mischief

Police got a report of damage to several trees at Wilson Park in Wayne Nov. 17 at 7:54 a.m. The damaged trees near the walking path appeared to be chopped down with an ax.

Credit-card fraud

Police got a report Nov. 18 at 4:41 p.m. from someone on the unit block of Airdrie Court in Malvern of credit-card fraud after the victim discovered about $1,300 in unauthorized charges on a credit-card bill.

Forgery

Police are investigating an attempt to cash a fraudulent check for about $6,000 on the 700 block of Lancaster Avenue in Wayne Nov. 19 at 4:33 p.m.

Simple assault

Police arrested and charged Francine Dambrosio, 49, of Paoli with easy assault Nov. 26. Police stated she threw a pint-sized bottle of vodka and struck a relative in the head.

Firecracker hurts boy

Police stated a 14-year-old Berwyn boy was flown to the hospital after an M-80 exploded in his hand Nov. 27.

Resisting arrest, easy assault

Police arrested and charged Ian Correia, 20, of the 300 block of Spenser Road with easy assault, resisting arrest, harassment, disorderly conduct and underage drinking Nov. 28.

Police stated officers were called to Correia’s neighborhood on the report of a domestic dispute. Police stated Correia and his brother were fighting. When police arrived, officers stated Correia began fighting with the officers.

Radnor

Burglary

The Radnor Township Police Department has issued the following Crime Alert for two residential burglaries that occurred between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29 in the Garrett Hill section of the township.

On Nov. 29 police responded to a report that day of a burglary at a residence in the 800 block of Conestoga Road. Upon further investigation, they determined the suspects had forced their way into the residence through a rear door. Once the thieves were inside, they took a laptop computer and bottles of alcohol. This crime occurred between Nov. 23 and Nov. 28. On Nov. 29 police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Meredith Avenue for another report of a burglary. They stated the suspects entered the residence through an unlocked first-floor window. Once the thieves were inside, they took a laptop computer, digital cameras and related electronic equipment along with alcoholic beverages. This crime occurred between Nov. 24 and Nov. 29.

Attempted burglary

Police also got a report of an attempted burglary from a home on Fitzwilliams Lane in Rosemont Nov. 21.

They stated a woman came into the police station to report an attempted burglary at her home a couple of weeks earlier. She told police she came home from work one day and found her tv on the floor. Pry marks were found on a window ledge.

DUI

Police arrested Peter Johnson, 25, of Haddon Township, N.J., after a traffic stop near Glenbrook Avenue Nov. 22 at 12:05 a.m.

According to police, Johnson was seen driving the wrong way on Glenbrook Avenue in Bryn Mawr. They stated he had signs of intoxication and was taken to Bryn Mawr Hospital for a blood test.

Car theft

Police got a report of a theft of a automobile that was parked at a Regional Rail station parking lot, 301 King of Prussia Road in Radnor, between Nov. 17 and Nov. 19. SEPTA and the towing company who is contracted to tow vehicles from the lot told police that no vehicles were taken from the lot during the dates the automobile was in the lot.

Dog on the loose

Police cited Aude Robinson, 51, of Rosemont Nov. 21. They stated her pit bull got out of her yard and went after another resident and his dog.

Loud music

Police cited Caroline Diehl, 23, of Lebanon, N.J., after getting a complaint that loud music was coming from her residence on Conestoga Road in Rosemont Nov. 20 at 11:23 p.m.

Contempt-of-court order
