Sony Ericsson officially launches XPERIA X8 and Cedar
Sony Ericsson is finally releasing the Android-based XPERIA X8 and the inexpensive GreenHeart Cedar. The XPERIA X8 launches with Android v1.6 Donut, but will be upgraded with v2.1 Eclair before the end of the year.

Unfortunately there is no word on when the update will roll out, but it’s expected to be after the X10 family gets their share of upgrades.
Sony Ericsson Cedar, the Elm’s inexpensive sibling, is also hitting the stores. While both look quite similar, the Cedar lacks Wi-Fi, GPS and a hi-res camera.

There is no official word on the pricing yet, but we anticipate the XPERIA X8 to sell for 190 euro, while Cedar should be about 75 euro.
