Android 2.2 Coming to all Samsung Galaxy S Handsets
Yes Android and Samsung fans, apparently Samsung has now officially confirmed during an event in New York, that Android 2.2 Froyo will eventually come to all of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphones later in the year.
According to an article over on Engadget by Chris Ziegler, a tweet by Samsung Mobile US confirms that the Android 2.1 Galaxy S smartphones are upgradeable to Android 2.2 with support for Adobe Flash 10.1.
The Samsung Galaxy S devices to receive Android 2.2 will include the Sprint Samsung Epic 4G, T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant, Verizon Samsung Fascinate and AT&T Samsung Captivate.
Apparently Sprint has already said that it will not be long before their Samsung Epic 4G gains Android 2.2, but as yet there is no confirmed time frame for when the rest will see the Android operating system upgrade.
